Now Hiring: Finance Director (part-time)

Kruskopf & Company is seeking a part-time experienced Finance Director to oversee our accounting department. KC is an agency that cuts through the BS, finds the truth and builds brands with smart, bold ideas in digital, social, broadcast, print and beyond. The Finance Director will be responsible for monitoring general accounting practices, general ledger processing and preparation of monthly financial statements. In addition, this position supervises the accounts receivable, billing and accounts payable departments, handles payroll, administrates the 401(K) and insurance plans. The successful candidate for this position will report directly to our CEO and play an instrumental role in the financial future of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
    • Month and year-end close process which includes generating journal entries, revenue recognition and account reconciliations
    • Preparation of monthly financial statements
    • Management of the accounts payable and accounts receivable areas
    • Management of the billing process
  • Payroll Administration and Processing
  • Administration of the 401(k) and insurance plans
  • Cash forecasting and Budgeting
  • Manage and implement corporate accounting policies
  • Research technical accounting issues as needed
  • Supervise one accounting staff
  • Become an Advantage subject management expert for the accounting area
  • Special projects and other duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 5+ years’ progressive accounting experience
  • Understanding of general accounting principles (“GAAP”)
  • Supervisory experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong budgeting, financial forecasting and financial analysis skills required
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills
